In recent years I’ve taken a leap of faith (or two) which most would consider reckless. I’ve been told either I’m holding a winning lottery ticket or I’ll be the biggest bust in town. I guess I just started walking down my path which seemed to be headed the wrong way, but regardless I never stopped walking. That path took me around the world. (a few times) Though not for a published piece or paycheck to look forward to, the only thing I followed was my heart. For some reason, I thought I was doing what I needed to do and this gallery is composed of images which made me feel alive when the shutter clicked.
What makes us different from one another comes from within. I knew there was a chance that flying half way across the world I faced the real possibility that my images were either to embarrassing to publish or worse all my film would come back blank. Thankfully that burning desire inside forced me to capture what I saw, which happened to be incredible cultures from the streets of Tokyo, Japan to the small coastal towns of Maine where I currently reside. There is no order or rhythm to the following photographs other than they are moments that I happened to capture at a moment in time.
Thank you for taking a look.
